Building Sustainable Vehicle Support for Ukraine

From personal volunteer effort to a structured monthly vehicle delivery model.

Why This Work Began

In 2023, I began personally sourcing and delivering vehicles from the EU to support civil and humanitarian operations in Ukraine.

Very quickly, one reality became clear: without reliable vehicles, operations slow down, evacuation becomes harder, and humanitarian access becomes limited.

What began as individual volunteer work grew into a structured logistics effort.

2024 – Continued Support

In 2024, I’m continued delivering vehicles and essential equipment to the front line.
Each mission required sourcing vehicles across the EU, repairing and preparing them under tight deadlines,
and driving them across borders toward the reality of war.
Thanks to the dedication of volunteers and supporters, multiple vehicles reached Ukrainian servicemen —
not just as machines, but as tools that save lives.

Out of these journeys, challenges, and miles on the road, a road-movie
“Road to Ukraine” was born — a story about commitment, responsibility,
and the people who choose to act when action matters most.

2025 Results

  • 12 vehicles delivered
  • Each vehicle inspected and repaired before transfer
  • Documented handovers
  • Photo and video confirmation from recipients

Each vehicle required purchase in the EU, technical repair and preparation, and cross-border delivery.

From Volunteer to Registered Non-Profit

In 2026, MTÜ United Wheels was officially registered in Estonia.

This transition allows transparent financial reporting, structured fundraising, long-term planning, and sustainable delivery capacity.

The mission shifted from irregular help to predictable support.

Cost of One Vehicle

  • €3,000 – Purchase
  • €1,500 – Repairs
  • €600 – Delivery

Total: €5,100 per vehicle

To deliver 1–2 vehicles per month, stable monthly support is required.

Irregular donations create uncertainty. Predictable support creates capacity.

Transparency

  • Registered Estonian non-profit (2026)
  • Vehicles legally sourced within the EU
  • Full documentation of purchase and delivery
  • Visual confirmation for supporters

Even €20–50 per month, combined with others, builds sustainable capacity.

Consistency matters more than urgency.
